'The object arrived unannounced.'

So begins my new chapbook. It's about a big, immovable rock, a missing president, the president's grandfather, a whale and a doomscroller.

The Object was designed by Gabrielle Guy. We've worked on many projects together since meeting in 2004. Naturally, I asked Gaby to design my first chapbook, The Magic of Stones (2019). Once again, she has brought real magic to the design of my new print experiment.

The Object was handprinted, collated, trimmed and stitched by Candice Jezek and Mac McKay at Dream Press. I first worked with Candice's riso-studio two years ago, on my chapbook Dust, thirst, loneliness, waiting, fatigue, life (2022). I had to return. Of course.
