“Growing up in a small coastal town on the KwaZulu-Natal coastline of South Africa, I was witness to a mass influx of holidaymakers, which massively increased the population for a few weeks each year. Upon them leaving, it was left feeling like a ghost town.
"During the end of August 2016, I visited a small town on the Adriatic coast of Italy at the end of their summer and witnessed the emptying out of what was a strikingly similar town to the one I grew up in.
"At the end of April 2017, I returned to my former hometown to document the end of summer.”
