First published in the 60s, and now in its fifteenth print impression, Indian Delights remains a sought-after and highly-prized introduction to South African Indian cooking both nationally and abroad. Compiled by the Women’s Cultural Group in Durban, it offers an overview of Desi culinary heritage with nearly one thousand recipes, full-colour images, and illustrations by artist Andrew Verster.

Please note that this copy of Indian Delights is second hand with some wear at the corners of the cover. The book is otherwise in near-perfect condition.

Founded in Durban in 1954, the Women’s Cultural Group has greatly contributed to the South African Indian community as a place of learning, support, and cultural exchange. The Group remains committed to education, and much of its charitable work funds bursaries for students. Proceeds from the best-selling book, Indian Delights, continue to support the members in this effort. The book’s editor, Zuleikha Mayat, is the organisation’s founding member.
