Candice Breitz (b. 1972) is a South African artist whose moving image installations have been shown internationally. Breitz holds degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg), the University of Chicago, and Columbia University (NYC). She has been a tenured professor at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Braunschweig since 2007.
Brenda Atkinson is a cultural writer, art critic, and curatorial consultant who lives and works in Johannesburg. She received her BA(Hons) degree from the University of Cape Town, and her master’s degree from the University of Chicago. She is the editor of WASH, a bimonthly publication specifically featuring South African artists and writers.
