Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid (1950–2016) is known for pushing the boundaries of modern architecture. She is the first female architect to win both the Pritzker Prize for architecture and the prestigious RIBA Royal Gold Medal.

Philip Jodidio (b.1954) studied art history and economics at Harvard, and served as editor-in-chief for the French art magazine Connaissance des Arts from 1980 to 2002. He is the author of more than 100 books on art and architecture.
