In February 2022, for the second time in 13 years, Louise Westerhout, a queer disabled performance artist, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and underwent hip to femur replacement. Simultaneously, we began our collaboration to bring the intimate experience of disability, medical interventions and recovery into art form.

'unclear szine' is a limited edition photographic zine and poetry book created by Lauren Brits and Louise Westerhout that was released 2nd of February in conjunction with their show of prints at Youngblood Gallery.
