From the publisher's text:
"Our launch issue has been an overwhelming success. A special thanks to our contributors and readers for your support. On a continent where there is such disparity between those who live a life of excess and others who feed an entire family on a dollar a day, we have chosen to focus on Affluence — the presence or absence thereof — for this issue of Snapped. In much of the work showcased between these pages, people's realities and aspirations are captured, from Philip Apagya's striking portraits to renowned Magnum photographer Martin Parr's images of the Durban July horse race. These images provide another way of looking at the continent and its inhabitants. We also profile Malick Sidibé, taking a look at his practice from his now-famous studios in Mali, which also coincides with a retrospective of his work in the Netherlands. We trust that our second issue lives up to our undertakings and look forward to your feedback"
